2009-01-30	Patinage Plus Skater Development:  Some of our young skaters attended a Skater Development seminar at Cote St-Luc arena (30 November 2008).  Our skaters joined others from across the Lac St-Louis region to participate in skill evaluations using the enriched Patinage Plus teaching circuits that are being developed.  It was a valuable experience for our young skaters as well as our teaching assistants.    (Top row): Anais Lessard, Quyhn-Nhi Le, Claire Gagnon-Santos (Bottom row): Maeva LeGuino, Anastasiya Pershko, Camille Laurendeau with Program Assistants Andréane Lavallée, Marianne Roaldi, and Chelsea Wong.
2009-01-13	Competition Pierrette-Vaillant Pierre ...     Congratulations to Lori Robertson for her 3rd place result at this competition.  She competed at the Gold level Interpretive skate event this past weekend (9-11 January 2009).  The Pierrette-Vaillant Pierre competition is a large annual event held in Rosemere. Lac St. Louis regional competition:  This past weekend (9-11 January 2009), 25 of our young skaters competed at the Eva Findlay / Lac St. Louis regional championships hosted by the Outremont figure skating club.  All our skaters worked hard in preparation for the competition, practicing their jumps, spins, footwork, and choreography.  This regional championship selects the skaters from the 14 participating clubs to either represent the Lac St. Louis region in the StarSKATE provincial finals (to be held in Laval in April 2009), or to represent the Lac St. Louis region in the Jeux du Quebec event (to be held in Rosemere/Blainville in March 2009).  All 25 skaters had fun and each performed very well.  From CPA Lasalle, the following skaters will be advancing to either the Jeux de Quebec, or the StarSKATE provincial finals:  Emily Balycky, Fatima Zouhra-Amara, Maude Brault, Jessica Ipekian-Levitt, Andreane Lavallee, Richard Lifshitz, Philipp Mule-Mirochnitchenko, Matteo Palladini, Sheel Gohil, and Cody Wong.  Photos have now been posted.
2009-01-12	No figure skating this friday.  Because of a hockey tournament, there will be no figure skating sessions for the CanSkate groups nor for the private-lesson skaters on Friday, 16 January 2009.  The regular figure skating schedule begins again on Sunday, 18 January 2009.  See you then!!

Competition Results ...   A big congratulations to Ariane Boyer (1st place), Sarah Myre (2nd place), and Anthony Campanelli (3rd place) for winning medals at the Competition Carole Pageau in Laval this weekend.  In addition, our other skaters (Marianne Laurendeau, Yelizavetha Shapareva, Catherine Vallieres, Valerie Charette-Migneault, and Kamy Roberge-Carrington) also had excellent performances, demonstrating their skating skills.  Keep up the spirit of competition. In a separate competition this weekend, a big congratulations Fatima Zouhra-Amara, Maude Brault, Jessica Ipekian-Levitt, and Emily Balycky who all skated very well at the Invitation Terrebonne.  They each won medals for the free skate portion as well as the elements portion of the competition.  Bravo to all!!

March Competition Results ... Jeux du Quebec. A big congratulations to Fatima Zouhra-Amara (1st place - SO Niveau 1) and Cody Wong (2nd place - Juvenile messieur), for winning medals at the Jeux du Quebec in Ste-Therese this past weekend.  In addition, our other skaters (Jessica Ipekian-Levitt, and Emily Balycky) also had excellent skating performances, contributing to the Lac St-Louis total team performance.  The Lac St-Louis figure skating team finished in first place among the 19 competing regions. Invitation Vaudreuil. In a separate competition last weekend, a big congratulations to Melissa Frechette-Leblanc (6th place - Interpretation Bronze), Philipp Mule-Mirotchnitchenko (3rd place - Prelim messieurs), and Yelyzaveta Shapareva (4th place -Prelim dames) who all skated very well at the Invitation Vaudreuil.  They faced tough competition and represented CPA Lasalle extremely well.  Bravo to all!!
2009-03-02	Lauréats du CPA Lasalle / Lasalle FSC Laureates.  Chaque année le CPA Lasalle choisit parmi ses membres, des patineurs exceptionnels qui représenteront le Club dans diverses catégories à la soirée des Lauréats pour la Région de Lac St-Louis.  Les candidatures des lauréats du Club sont donc soumises au conseil d'adminstration de la Région Lac St-Louis, qui lui détermine à partir des candidats soumis de la part de 14 clubs membre de la région, un gagnant dans chaque catégorie.  Ces gagnants deviennent les Lauréats régionaux pour la Région Lac St-Louis (annoncé le 20 février 2009 - voir les photos). Spectacle - Le Monde En Musique. "Bravo" à tous nos patineurs, et nos invités speciaux (Amélie Lacoste et Marc-Olivier Bosse) qui ont participé à notre revue de glace.  Superbe travail!  Bon demonstration de nos talentueux patineurs. Un gros "MERCI!" à tous les bénévoles qui ont inlassablement donne leur temps et efforts d'asster a notre spectacle.  Figure Skating Show - Le Monde En Musique.  A big "Congratulations" to all the skaters, including our special guest skaters (Amelie Lacoste and Marc-Olivier Bosse) who participated in our ice revue show.  You all did a superb job showcasing your skating talents.  A special "THANK YOU!" to all the volunteers who anonomously donated their time and efforts to make the 2009 show a success. RAPPEL - Patinage de printemps.  La session de printemps de patinage débute le lundi 20 avril, à l'aréna Dollard St-Laurent. Nous espérons vous y voir.  REMINDER - Spring skating session.  The spring skating session begins on Monday, 20 April, at the Dollard St. Laurent arena.  See you there. National Adult Figure Skating Championships.  Congratulations to Lori Robertson for her excellent results at the Adult Figure Skating Championships that were recently (April 1-5, 2009) held in Fredriction, New Brunswick.  Lori won 2 bronze medals, competing in the Masters Women Free Skate (Class 2/3) event, as well as in the Gold Women Interpretive (Class 3/4) event.  Well done!

Jeux de Montreal / Montreal Games ... Cette fin de semaine passé, 15 talentueux patineurs au programme Patinage Plus ont participés aux Jeux de Montréal.  Très belle récolte pour nos patineurs de CPA Lasalle avec 11 médailles.  Félicitations à Maeva LeGuinio, Quynh-Nhi Le, Claire Gagnon-Santos, Gabrielle Durocher, Kiana Delsouz, Morgane Launay-Boireau, Ramya Panchacharam, Amanda Pedicelli, Ariana Campanelli, Camille Laurendeau, Marie-France Ang, Anais Lessard, Lessard Melianne, Anna Syvoglaz, et Brianna Cavanagh.  Un gros merci à nos deux entraineurs de Patinage Plus (Chelsea Wong et Marianne Roaldi), qui faisaient la chorégraphie et nos assistantes (Andreane Lavallee, Stephanie Guertin, Katerina Kollias, et Joannie Bernard). This past weekend, 15 of our young, talented skaters from the CanSkate program competed at the Jeux de Montreal competition.  CPA Lasalle was very successful, collecting 11 medals.  Congratulations to Maeva LeGuinio, Quynh-Nhi Le, Claire Gagnon-Santos, Gabrielle Durocher, Kiana Delsouz, Morgane Launay-Boireau, Ramya Panchacharam, Amanda Pedicelli, Ariana Campanelli, Camille Laurendeau, Marie-France Ang, Anais Lessard, Melianne Lessard, Anna Syvoglaz, and Brianna Cavanagh.  A big thank-you to our 2 Canskate coaches (Chelsea Wong and Marianne Roaldi), who did the choreography and our program assistants (Andreane Lavallee, Stephanie Guertin, Katerina Kollias, Joannie Bernard). Assemblée générale annuelle du club de patinage artistique de Lasalle  Déjà une autre année qui se termine pour le CPA Lasalle. Comme à chaque année, il est temps de penser à l'assemblée générale annuelle. C'est une rencontre importante qui fait le point sur l'année qui vient de passer et préparer une nouvelle année. Tous nos membres sont invités à cette rencontre qui se tiendra le 26 mai 2009 à 19:00, dans la salle 123 de l'aréna Dollard St-Laurent, située au 707 de la 75e avenue à Lasalle. Votre présence est importante pour assurer la continuité des activités pour nos jeunes. Au plaisir de vous rencontrer. Championnats Québeçois d'été - Résultats ...  Le CPA Lasalle était très bien représenté lors de cette compétition d'envergure pour l'été 2009.  Félicitations aux patineurs suivants pour leur prestation:  Philipp Mulé-Mirotchnitchenko (4e Pre-Juvénile messieurs), Matteo Palladini (13e Pre-Novice messieurs (programme libre)), Cody Wong (5e Pre-Novice messieurs (programme court), 3e Pre-Novice messieurs (programme libre)). Quebec Summer Championships - Results ...  CPA Lasalle was very well represented at this important provincial competition.  Congratulations to our skaters for their great performance:  Philipp Mulé-Mirotchnitchenko (4th Pre-Juvénile men), Matteo Palladini (13th Pre-Novice men (free program)), Cody Wong (5th Pre-Novice men (short program), 3rd Pre-Novice men (free program)).
